A modern geek looking for love? First of all, you should know you are not the only one. This said, you are also not alone! We are here to help and give you awesome pieces of advice:
There is always hope!
You`re not the most easy-going and sociable kind of guy or gal in the world, you know that already. But, this does not mean you are not likeable! Never give up hope: your soul mate is somewhere out there. You just have to get out and look for them. So, shake off that gray weight you are carrying and stop listening to the voices - it`s just depression talking. There is still hope! There is always hope!
Don`t surrender your sense of self to others!
Why would you let others tell you what you are like? Do you really need to see yourself through their eyes? Instead, stand in front of the mirror and try to look at yourself objectively. All right, maybe you are not the most handsome guy in the world, but you are not that ugly either. Maybe you`re not a super model and look nothing like Sasha Luss or Elsa Hosk. But, what do you say about Lyndsey Scott? She`s studied to be a software engineer before she started modelling.
Stay away from "check these abs" selfies!
When looking for love online, some geek guys feel the need to compete with the others by posting a "check these abs" selfie. Really? Which abs? If you don`t have what to show, just don`t. A full body picture will do. After all, this is not what you want a girl to like you for.
Hanging out together does not mean dating!
This means: be careful with the "Friends Zone" - this is not where you want to stay if you`re looking for love. If you just spend time together doing your geeky things, it does not mean you`re dating. By the way, have you kissed already? Don`t be afraid to level up if this is what you want. You don`t have to aggressive about it, but don`t be too shy either.
Attraction isn`t destiny!
On the other hand, if you feel attracted to each other and feel like making out all the time, this does not mean you are soul mates. Do you have common interests? Do you share (at least partially) your perspective on life?
